About us
At Apple Tree Kindergarten and Nursery, we have been providing high quality English-language education and care for children aged 16 months to 6 years since 2012.
Our native English speaking and qualified Hungarian teachers follow a carefully designed curriculum developed by our own international research; covering practices used in Great Britain, the US and Hungary. We prepare our children to enter any school system, let it be International or Hungarian.
Location
Apple Tree Kindergarten & Nursery is located in a beautiful, elegant villa in the heart of Buda, just a 2-minute drive from Széll Kálmán tér (Moszkva tér). Our central location makes us easily accessible from downtown Budapest as well as District I, II, III and XII, offering a convenient commute for families.
We are well connected by public transportation. You can reach us via tram lines 56, 59 and 61, getting off at the Nyúl utca stop. Several buses — lines 5, 91, 155 and 156 — also stop at Nyúl utca. From there, Apple Tree is just a 3-minute walk.
From Érmelléki utca, you can also arrive using bus line 149, followed by a 5-minute walk to our kindergarten.
Parking
Parking in the area is free until 8:30 AM and after 6:00 PM, making morning drop-off and evening pick-up especially convenient for parents.
During the rest of the day, you can easily pay for parking using your mobile phone. Simply send an SMS with your license plate number to: +36 30 763 0203, +36 20 763 0203, or +36 70 763 0203 (depending on your mobile service provider).
A 99 HUF transaction fee applies on top of the parking fee.
You will receive a confirmation text message immediately. When leaving, please send another SMS with „Stop” to end the parking session. You will receive a final confirmation and the charges will appear on your phone bill.
If you prefer, you can also pay at the parking meter located at the corner of Érmelléki utca and Trombitás utca.
Arrivals & Collections
We kindly ask that all children arrive by 9:30 AM. However, we recommend arriving around 9:00 AM so your child has enough time to settle in, greet friends, and enjoy breakfast before the organized classroom program begins.
Breakfast is served until 9:30 AM.
Families should plan to leave the premises by 4:00 PM at the latest.
Children enrolled in our Afternoon Extra Stay program or pptional Extra Classes may remain at Apple Tree until 5:30 PM, providing a flexible option for busy parents.
Bus Service
We offer a bus transportation service for families upon sufficient demand. If you are interested, please contact us with your pick-up and drop-off address so we can accommodate your child’s transportation needs.
Please note that most service providers allow children aged 3 years and above on the bus, since there is only a driver on board without additional supervision.
Opening Hours
Apple Tree is open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Our daily schedule is as follows:
7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Early Risers program (not available for Young Nursery group)
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Classroom Program — Mornings Only
8:30 AM – 4:00 PM: Classroom Program — Full Day
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Afternoon Extra Stay and optional Extracurricular Classes
Please note that an additional fee applies for all programs after 4:00 PM.
